Here’s one way to handle a situation where some dumbass pins your hands to a wall with his. It’s all in how you break the a-hole’s grip on your wrists. Once you learn this, you’ll never forget it.

Pay close attention to what he said about the thumbs. They’re weak. Work against them to get a release.  You should practice this until you’re comfortable, and then, have someone catch you off guard. How will you actually react when your adrenaline is pumping?

Another thing to remember is that you don’t need much force to break a grip WHEN you understand how weak the thumbs actually are.

What techniques do you want to know more about? Tell me in the comments.

Note: As with every technique I post, 1) you need to practice with a willing adult participant, 2) I don’t endorse any of the sites or teachers, and 3) you need to be aware of and know the self-defense laws in your state. The purpose of these posts is to provide you with information about techniques I would use in certain situations. If you really want to become an expert in self-defense, then you need to find a dojang or dojo. If you have questions about how to identify a good dojang or dojo, post your questions in the comments.
